This is a small space to use when there is so much that can be said about our Mum. She was the most wonderful Mum, Wife, Sister, Granny and friend. I think it is true to say that anyone who knew her - no matter how briefly -was instantly touched by her warmth, her laugh, and her love of a glass of red wine! Imagine how wonderful it was to be her daughter and know her for a lifetime. We are so proud of how she dealt with life, particularly throughout her illness. She never complained, and tackled everything with a smile, and complete selflessness. Even when things got really tough, her first thoughts were always of us, and the people she loved. We all miss her terribly, more than words can say, but will always remember her with a smile, and be able to hear her infectious laugh before too long. That is typical, even now she is not with us, she makes it very hard for you to be sad for too long! There is an African Proverb “the depth of a persons’ life is more important than its length” and that is perfect for our Mum.
